This is one of the yellow freckled Vanda orchids I saw in a botanical garden. These are tropical plants that love a warm humid weather.
Vanda orchids are epiphytes, which cling to barks of other trees. These plants are generally grown in hanging baskets without any growing medium or using coarse well draining medium. Due to lack of the growing medium, the plants have to be watered periodically in a very controlled fashion.
Vandas produce large blooms in a variety of colors. The leaves are thick with a waxy appearance.
