This is a white Phalaenopsis orchid with dotted pink lips; commonly called as moth or butterfly orchid as the flower resembles the wings of a butterfly. This is a native of the Asian continent. Once in full bloom, the flowers are about 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter and the buds are about an inch (2.5 cm) long. A well maintained plant will produce around 4 to 8 flowers per spike.
Could an orchid bloom into such large flowers?? Yes…It’s possible!!!. The flowers are very showy and the blooms will decorate your house for more than a month. This is a good orchid for beginners, which can tolerate most of the rookie mistakes to some extent!!!
